Connie O

.
O Connie, O Connie,
I miss you so.
Where have you gone to?
O Connie O
My Connie
O Connie O
My darling, my darling,
What changed your mind?
My heart is broken,
I'm hurting so,
My Connie O.
Wasn't it yesterday I held you tight?
Why did you run away just before our wedding night?
O Connie, O Connie,
I miss you so.
Where have you gone to?
O Connie O
My Connie
O Connie O
My darling, my darling,
What changed your mind?
My heart is broken,
I'm hurting so,
My Connie O.

Tiempos tan hermosos, lindos recuerdos.

I remember how it started
On a sunny summer's day
I was looking out my window
All the kids were out to play
Then she said, hey
Let's play May I
Out into the street I came
Ever since that sunny morning
Nothing has been quite the same
[CHORUS]
May I take a giant step into your heart
May I give you love and sweet affection
May I take a giant step into your heart
So that you will look in my direction
May I take a giant step into your heart
Though I may be getting older
May I's still my favorite game
Girl, I got to have your permission
If our need's to be the same
Show me if you really want me
Show me if you really care
Give me just a little sign, girl
Make me feel you want me here
[repeat CHORUS 2
Simon Says

.
I'd like to play a game
That is so much fun
And it's not so very hard to do
The name of the game
Is Simple Simon says
And I would like for you
To play it to
Put your hands in the air
Simple Simon says
Shake them all about
Simple Simon says
Do it when Simon says
Simple Simon says
And you will never be out
Simple Simon says
Put your hands on your hips
Let your back bone slip
Simon says
Simple Simon says
Put your hands on your hips
Let your back bone slip
Simon says
Put your hands on your head
Simple Simon says
Bring them down by your side
Simple Simon says
Shake them to your left
Simple Simon Ssys
Now shake them to your right
Put your hands on your head
Simple Simon says
Bring them down by your side
Simple Simon says
Shake them to your left
Simple Simon says
Now shake them to your right
Now that you have learned
To play this game with me
You can see it's not so hard to do
Let's try it once again
This time more carefully
And I hope the winner will be you
Clap your hands in the air
Simple Simon says
Do it double time
Simple Simon says
Slow it down like before
Simple Simon says
Ah, you're looking fine
Simple Simon says
Now clap them high in the air
Simple Simon says
Do it double time
Simple Simon says
Slow it down like before
Simple Simon says
Ah, you're looking fine
1,2,3, Red Light

.
Everytime I try to prove I love you
1, 2, 3, red light, you stop me
Baby, you ain't right to stop me
1, 2, 3, red light, you stop me
Everytime I make a move to love you
1, 2, 3, red light, you stop me
Baby, every night you stop me
1, 2, 3, red light
Stop the game (stop the game)
You've got too much to lose
(Too much to lose)
If you stop me again
That's when we might end
So, please don't refuse
(Please don't refuse)
Everytime I make a move to love you
1, 2, 3, red light, don't stop me
Baby, you ain't right to stop me
1, 2, 3, red light, don't stop me
Everytime I try to prove I love you
1, 2, 3, red light, don't stop me
When I know I'm right, don't stop me
1, 2, 3, red light
Everytime I make a move to love you
1, 2, 3, red light, don't stop me
Baby, you ain't right to stop me
1, 2, 3, red light, don't stop me
Everytime I try to prove I love you
1, 2, 3, red light, don't stop me...
Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood
The Animals
1965
.
Baby, do you understand me now
Sometimes I feel a little mad
But don't you know
That no one alive
Can always be an angel
When things go wrong
I seem real bad
[CHORUS]
I'm just a soul whose
Intentions are good
Oh, Lord, please don't
Let me be misunderstood
Baby, sometimes I'm so carefree
With a joy that's hard to hide
And sometimes it seems
That all I have to do is worry
And then you're bound
To see my other side
[repeat CHORUS]
If I seem edgy
I want you to know
That I never mean to
Take it out on you
Life has it's problems
And I get my share
And that's one thing
I never mean to do
Cause I love you
Oh, oh, oh, baby
Don't you know I'm human
I have thoughts like any other one
Sometimes I find myself, Lord
Regretting some foolish thing
Some little simple thing I've done
[repeat CHORUS]
Yes
[repeat CHORUS]
Yes
[repeat CHORUS]
Yes, I'm just a soul
Whose intentions are good
It's My Life
The Animals
1965
It's a hard world
To get a break in
All the good things
Have been taken
But, girl, there are ways
To make certain things pay
Though I'm dressed in these rags
I'll wear sable some day
Hear what I say
I'm gonna ride the serpent
No more time spent
Sweating rent
Hear my command
I'm breaking loose
It ain't no use
Holding me down
Stick around
But baby (baby)
Remember (remember)
It's my life and
I'll do what I want
It's my mind and
I'll think what I want
Show me I'm wrong
Hurt me sometime
But some day
I'll treat you real fine
There'll be women
And their fortunes
Who just want to mother orphans
Are you gonna cry when
I'm squeezing them dry
Taking all I can get
No regrets
When I, openly lie
And live on their money
Believe me, honey, that money
Can you believe
I ain't no saint
No complaints, so, girl
Throw out any doubt
And, baby (baby
Remember (remember)
It's my life and
I'll do what I want
It's my mind and
I'll think what I want
Show me I'm wrong
Hurt me sometime
But some day
I'll treat you real fine
It's my life and
I'll do what I want
Don't push me
It's my mind and
I'll think what I want
It's my life
It's my life and
I'll do what I want
And I can do what I want
It's my mind and
I'll think what I want
You can't tell me
It's my life and
I'll do what I want
The House Of The Rising Sun
The Animals
1964
There is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it's been the ruin
Of many a poor boy
And God, I know I'm one
My mother was a tailor
She sewed my new blue jeans
My father was a gambling man
Down in New Orleans
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and a trunk
And the only time he'll be satisfied
Is when he's on a drunk
Oh, mother, tell your children
Not to do what I have done
Spend your lives in sin and misery
In the House of the Rising Sun
Well, I've got one
Foot on the platform
The other foot on the train
I'm going back to New Orleans
To wear that ball and chain
Well, there is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it's been the ruin
Of many a poor boy
And God, I know I'm one

I'm Crying
The Animals
1964
Ahh, ahh, ahh.....
I don't hear your
Knock upon my door
I don't have your
Loving anymore
Since you been gone
I'm a-hurting inside
Well, I want you, baby
By my side, yeah
I'm crying, I'm crying
Hear me crying, baby
Hear me crying
Ahh, ahh, ahh.....
I'm lonely and blue
Baby, every night
Yeah, you know you
Didn't treat me right
And now my tears
Begin to fall
Well, I want you, baby
And that's all
I'm crying, I'm crying
Hear me crying, baby
Hear me crying
Hear me crying
Ahh, ahh, ahh.....
I don't hear your
Knock upon my door
I don't have your
Loving anymore
Since you been gone
I'm hurting inside, yeah
Well, I want you
Baby, by my side
And I'm crying
You know I'm crying
Hear me crying
Hear me crying
Hear me crying
Ahh, ahh, ahh.....
Spill The Wine
Eric Burdon and War
1970
I was once out strolling
One very hot summer's day
When I thought I'd lay
Myself down to rest
In a big field of tall grass
I lay there in the sun and
Felt it caressing my face
As I fell asleep and dreamed
I dreamed I was in a Hollywood movie
And that I was the star of the movie
This really blew my mind
The fact that me, an overfed
Long-haired leaping gnome should
Be the star of a Hollywood movie
But there I was
I was taken to a place
The hall of the mountain king
I stood high upon a mountaintop
Naked to the world
In front of every kind of girl
There was long ones, tall ones
Short ones, brown ones
Black ones, round ones
Big ones, crazy ones
Out of the middle came a lady
She whispered in my ear
Something crazy
She said
(CHORUS)
Spill the wine and take that pearl
Spill the wine and take that pearl
Spill the wine and take that pearl
Spill the wine and take that pearl
I could feel hot flames
Of fire roaring at my back
As she disappeared
But soon she returned
In her hand was a bottle of wine
In the other, a glass
She poured some of the wine
From the bottle into the glass
And raised it to her lips and
Just before she drank it, she said
(CHORUS)
Take that pearl, yeah
It's all yours
You gotta do it
Spill that wine
Spill that wine
Spill the wine, spill the wine
Spill the wine, spill the wine
Take that pearl
San Franciscan Nights
Eric Burdon & The Animals
1967
[SPOKEN]
This following program
Is dedicated to the city
And people of San Francisco
Who may not know it
But they are beautiful
And so is their city
This is a very personal song
So if the viewer cannot understand it
Particularly those of you
Who are European residents
Save up all your bread
And fly Translove Airways
To San Francisco, USA
Then maybe you'll understand the song
It will be worth it
If not for the sake of this song
But for the sake of
Your own peace of mind.
.
Strobe lights beam creates dreams
Walls move, minds do too
On a warm San Franciscan night
Old child, young child feel all right
On a warm San Franciscan night
Angels sing, leather wings
Jeans of blue, Harley Davidsons too
On a warm San Franciscan night
Old angel, young angel feel all right
On a warm San Franciscan night
I wasn't born there
Perhaps I'll die there
There's no place left to go
San Francisco
Cop's face is filled with hate
Heavens above, he's on
A street called love
When will they ever learn
Old cop, young cop feel all right
On a warm San Franciscan night
The children are cool
They don't raise fools
It's an American dream
Includes Indians too
