Una canción de despedida, siempre era la última canción en el "Baul de los recuerdos" porque había llegado la hora del ceniciento..
Esta canción tiene un poco de sonido agresivo, el mismo titulo lo dice, es una canción muy alegre. Es bastante diferente a las otras canciones suaves de Dave Clark Five.
Salió en el album del mismo nombre.

Esta canción era una de las consentidas del programa "El Baul de los recuerdos" que se transmitía por la "Radio Progreso". Cierro mis ojos y me transporto a ese preciso momento cuando Don Hector Ramón Sierra la anunciaba. Que hermosos recuerdos tengo de esos años.
Esta canción viene en el mismo album dond está la canción "Because", el album "American Tour".

Esta canción está en el album "Weekend In London" de 1965.
Esta es una de las canciones más hermosas del "Quinteto de Dave Clark", muy conocida en Guatemala y por supuesto una de mis favoritas.
Esta canción le gusta mucho a mi recordado amigo "Juan Alberto Reyes", el fue el que consiguió el disco 45 r.p.m. De eso hace ya muchos años.

La canción "Enamorada de un amigo mío", original de "Roberto Carlos", ha tenido muchas versiones cantadas por diferentes grupos, me han gusta esas versiones pero desde que escuché la versión de "Juan Nicolás Estela", ninguna otra versión me ha gustado, claro la original si me gusta pero ninguna otra aparte de esta.
Esta canción la escuché por primera vez cuando mi estimado amigo "Julio Gonzalez", de "Guatediscos" me puso un CD de Juan Nicolás Estela. A "Estela" ya lo conocía anteriormente cuando formaba parte de "Los Yetis".
Nunca me imaginé que escucharía una canción que se ajustaba mucho al estilo de música que me gusta. Parafraseando la canción de Javier Solís "Ese Bolero es mío", diré lo mismo, "esa canción es mía", desde el principio hasta el fin", "fue hecha a mi medida". Me pasó exactamente lo que dice la letra de esta canción.
En la foto aparecen los tres miembros originales de "Los Yetis", uno de ellos es "Juan Nicolás Estela"
Esta canción la escuchaba en "La Voz Del Hogar" en su programación en inglés, siempre ha sido una de mis favoritas. El grupo "The Shuffles" se formó en Holanda en 1963 y existió hasta 1973, según parece su éxito mayor fue "Cha-La-La, I Need You", esta canción fue popular en 1970.

Smile a Little Smile For Me (Rosemary) - Sonrie una pequeña sonrisa para mi (Rosemary)
Esta canción se escuchaba en "La Voz del Hogar", desde que la escuché por primera vez me gustó, logré conseguir el L.P. del Sello "Janus Records".
Al pasar el tiempo y hacerse popular el CD esta canción fue lanzada en varias recopilaciones, pero no era la versión que yo conocía, por supuesto era muy buena pero me gustaba más como la escuché por muchos años.
En una ocasión caminando por Tower Records, como siempre buscando discos, vi el CD donde estaban todas las canciones grabadas por este grupo y lo compré de inmediato, grande fue mi sorpresa cuando escuché la versión que había escuchado originalmente y la que escuché despues, definitivamente fue un gran compra.
Este grupo de gran calidad tuvo una vida muy corta en el aspecto de lanzar discos. Al principio se llamó "Pinkerton's Assorted Colours" y tenían un contrato con la disquera "Decca Records", posteriormente al firmar contrato con "Pye Records" cambiaron su nombre a "The Flying Machine" ("La Máquina Voladora")
La agrupación tuvo un gran éxito, la canción "Smile A Little Smile For Me" del gran compositor Tony Macaulay y en 1969 llegó a la posición #5 en Estados Unidos.

Tha Same Old Feeling (Ese Mismo Viejo Sentimiento) - The Flying Machine, The Fortunes, Pickettywitch.

Hace muchos años llegó a mis manos un L.P. del grupo "The Flying Machine", para esa epoca la única canción que conocía de ellos era "Smile A Little Smile For Me (Rosemary)", comencé a escuchar las canciones y me parecieron fantasticas. Una de las canciones que más me gustó fue "That Same Old Feeling".
Posteriormente conocí esa canción con el grupo "The Fortunes" y me gustó también debido a que "The Fortunes" es uno de mis grupos favoritos, al cabo del tiempo conocí al grupo "Pickettywitch" y me enteré que ellos fueron los que la cantaron primero.
Desde hace varios meses estaba por colgar un post para estas canciones pero siempre algo pasaba y resultaba colgando otras.
Es muy cierto que no existen las casualidades sino las causalidades, hasta hace unos pocos días descubrí el porqué se estuvo quedando pendiente el post.
Resulta que existe una canción de Sabú llamada "Ese Amor" y que en "La Voz Del Hogar" se escuchaba mucho y durante muchos años estuve buscandola, tratando de localizar la canción dejé un mensaje en el sitio: www.sabuelcieloyyo.com.ar, Susy Solcito, la creadora de sitio muy gentilmente me respondió y me compartió la canción, además de eso a través de ella conocí otras dos canciones de "Sabú", una de ellas fue la canción "Ese Tierno Sentimiento".
Fue una tremenda sorpresa escuchar esta canción y darme cuenta que era la versión en español de la canción "That Same Old Feeling", nunca pensé que existiera una versión en español y menos que la cantara "Sabú", así que no puedo dejar pasar este día sin poner estas canciones y además agradecer a Susy por tan grata sorpresa.

La canción "Nuestro amor es infinito" es una canción que tengo muy presente en mi memoria, la disfrutaba mucho en "La Voz Del Hogar".
La canción originalmente la cantó la agrupación "Pickettywitch" y se llamaba "(It's Like A) Sad Old Kinda Movie", algo así como "Es como una vieja pelicula triste".
Esta canción nunca la he encontrado en C.D. y gracias al amigo "Jorge Papa" que amablemente me la proporcionó para poder completar este post y presentar la versión original en inglés y la versión en español de "Estela Nuñez"
Pickettywitch surgió en 1969 en Inglaterra y triunfó con el 45 R.P.M. "That Same Old Feeling", en 1969. Aunque su canción "It's like
a Sad Old Kinda Movie" fue #16 en las listas, nunca tuvieron gran éxito y se disolvió a pincipios 70.
La canción "That Same Old Feeling" también la interpretaron los grupos "The Fortunes" y "The Flying Machine".
