Esta es una de mis canciones favoritas, me gustan las diferentes versiones que existen.
The Sandpipers tenían la particularidad de mantener la suavidad de sus voces en las diferentes canciones que intepretan.
Allá por los finales de los años 70 en Guatemala vimos las caricaturas de Heidi. Me gustaba mucho verla y a través de los años no se me olvida el tema de presentación.
Esta canción es una clásica de La Voz del Hogar, 9-40 A.M. (Guatemala), practicamente era la única emisora de radio que la difundió, personalmente es una de mis super favoritas.
Dentro de mi memoria la canción Herida de amor del grupo Yndio permanece tan fresca como la primera vez que la escuché allá en Guatemala a mediados de los años 70's, para esos tiempos más que todo las radios que se escuchaban eran en A.M. y el sonido no era de lo mejor que se pudiera esperar, Yndio estaba cantando la versión en español de la canción que por esa época el grupo Nazareth la había logrado colocar en el primer lugar de las mejores canciónes (me estoy refiriendo a Guatemala).
Al principio pensaba que la canción era original del grupo Nazareth pero los amigos coleccionistas de música empezaron a poner las otras versiones.
La primera vez que tuve en mis manos una de esas versiones fue cuando mi recordado amigo Don Amilcar Quiroa me presto el L.P. donde estaba esta canción intepretada por Roy Orbison, realmente la canción que me interesaba de ese L.P. era "Lana" pero encontrar esta canción en ese L.P. para mi fue una gran alegría. Con el paso del tiempo escuché logré conseguir el L.P. donde aparecía esta canción interpretada por The Everly Brothers. Ahora gracias al Interné (así dice un amigo), conocí más datos de esa canción.
La siguiente información la encontré en la Wikipedia: La primera versión de Love Hurts fue cantada por The Everly Brothers fue lanzado en diciembre de 1960 en el album llamado A Date With The Everly Brothers, nunca fue lanzado en 45 R.P.M.
En 1961 Roy Orbison lanzó esta canción como lado-B del disco "Running Scared" que fue un gran éxito y eso ayudó a "Love Hurts" para alcanzar buenas posiciones en los charts.
En 1975, Nazareth lanzó la canción y esta llegó a ser un verdadero hit internacional llegando a excelentes posiciones en diferentes países, esta ha sido la versión mejor conocida en todo el mundo.
Nazareth cambió un poquito la la letra de la canción y en la parte donde dice "love is like a stove/it burns you when it's hot" la cambio por "love is like a flame/it burns you when it's hot". La canción fue lanzada en el album Hair of the dog, también en un E.P. llamado Hot Tracks y en disco 45 .R.P.M.

Desde que tengo uso de razón esta canción la he escuchado, tiene varias versiones en español, quizás las que más me gustan son las de Manolo Muñoz y la de Los Inhumanos pero si duda alguna la versión original en inglés esta muy pero muy buena.

"When I Need You" fue originalmente escrita por Albert Hammond y la cantó en inglés y español, pero la versión que cantó Leo Sayer fue la mas conocida.
Ligeramente también fue conocida la versión del grupo Yndio, ellos la llamaron "Me haces falta".

Cuando escuché por primera vez está canción ignoraba completamente que "The Ronnettes" la habían cantado antes. Ambas versiones me gustan pero más esta.

Esta es una "Señora" canción, magnifica. En los coros se destaca la impresionante voz de Michael Jackson.
La canción me gustó mucho desde la primera vez que la escuché, recuerdo muy bien que esta canción fue lanzada en 45 R.P.M. y también en un compilado de canciones, en el disco las de un lado eran todas en español y del otro lado todas en inglés (esto fue en Guatemala), el sonido de este disco era mucho mejor que el disco 45 R.P.M.
La canción trata sobre una persona que se siente observada en todo momento y que se siente como en la dimensión desconocida (Twilight Zone).
